Visiting Centres in Limerick & Clare
Fighting Words Operation Manager, Sara Bennett, visited the new
Fighting Words Centres in Limerick and Clare, which I afterwards
posted on Instagram.
Visit to Fighting Words Wicklow
Sara Bennett and I visited the new Fighting Words Co-ordinator in Wicklow and helped in a workshop. I took pictures of the day
and posted it on Instagram and Facebook.
Workshop with Pocket Forests
In a collaboration with Pocket Forests, Sara Bennett and I visited O'Connell's Primary School to hold a creative writing workshop and
learn about worms and planting trees. Afterwards, I created a post
to show what we did that day. I also made sure to tag the organisation we worked with, so that they could repost our post.
Last School Workshop
To mark the end of the school workshops until after the summer
break, I filmed a video with one of the volunteers to let followers
know what it is like to volunteer for Fighting Words and to recruit
more volunteers.
Volunteers needed for Limerick
To promote volunteering for Fighting Words Limerick I created a post
on Canva and posted it on all platforms to reach the widest audience.
Summer Break for Mr McConckey
On the last day of school workshops, I filmed a video with Fighting
Words' editor Mr McConckey, who is usually really grumpy and
doubts that children can write stories - however they always prove him wrong. For the Summer Break, he seemed to be in a better spirit.
