Social Media Campaigns

I began my Media Management Project on the 23rd of May 2023 with Fighting Words and worked with them as a Digital Media Intern until the 4th of August 2023. My main task was to make Fighting Words' social media platforms more attractive and to share the brilliant workshops, projects, and events they do.

Besides creating posts with pictures that I either took or I received from colleagues, I had a lot of freedom when working on social media campaigns. The ones I focused on the most were Meet the New Interns, Summer Camp, and the Festivals. 

 

My daily routine would consist of arriving at the Fighting Words centre in Dublin at 9:15 am, checking all the social media platforms, and liking, reposting, or replying to posts from other organisations. Afterwards, I would check my emails to see if some of my colleagues wanted me to create a post or poster for them. I would then either work on posts myself or talk with Sara, my supervisor and Fighting Words Operations Manager, to discuss what posts I should create. Sometimes, I would visit other projects, events, or Fighting Words centres near by to take pictures and design posts afterwards. During the Summer Camps, 03/07/2023-03/08/2023, I helped more in the actual workshops and worked with groups of children. I also filmed interviews with them which I would turn into reels later to post on social media.
